The Skyhawk women kept pace in the tightly bunched race for the RMAC crown with a 2-0 win in Grand Junction on Wednesday.

The Skyhawks started an RMAC road trip by knocking off Mesa State 3-0 on Wednesday.

The Orediggers opened the season with a 1-0 victory over the defending NCAA Division II National Champion Fort Lewis College Skyhawks.

Fort Lewis heads the polls in Division II Men’s Soccer as the season nears its start. Colorado School of Mines also makes it into the preseason Top 25.

Oige Kennedy, who began the season as the interim coach of the Skyhawks men’s soccer team, has been named coach by Fort Lewis College. Kennedy became the first coach in NCAA soccer history on any level to win a national championship in his first season.

The top-ranked Fort Lewis College men’s soccer team is headed to Tampa, Florida, for the Final Four to try to claim the NCAA Division II title for the second time in school history. The Skyhawks defeated No. 15 Cal State-Dominguez Hills 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Durango.
