Mexico faces New Zealand four days before their opening game in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup. This match marks El Tri’s first visit to Colorado since early 2009 when they defeated Bolivia 5-1 in front of a standing room only crowd at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. In their last meeting against the “All Whites,” Mexico defeated New Zealand 2-0 in front of a crowd of more than 90,000 fans at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. in March of 2010.

On July 20, the Rapids will take on the Red Bulls for the second and final time this season. The New York roster includes Thierry Henry, who has made 123 appearances for the French National Team and previously played for FC Barcelona, and Mexico National Team captain Rafael Marquez, who is also a former FC Barcelona player.
